A catch-all functionality that is activated for a given mailbox will permit you to receive email messages that are sent to email addresses that do not really exist. Otherwise put, if you remove an email address and someone still sends an email message to it, or to any misspelled email address under the exact same domain, you will get the email in the catch-all mailbox. Using this feature implies that you won’t miss an email for any reason whatsoever, which could be essential if you run some company, for example. Since you may start receiving junk messages, you can combine the catch-all functionality with anti-spam filtering software in order to get only authentic messages in your inbox. Just one mailbox per domain can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be enabled for a catch-all mailbox.

If you have a
Linux cloud hosting with our company and you’d like to activate the catch-all feature for a specific email mailbox that you’ve got in your hosting account, it will take literally just a single mouse click in the Email Manager section of your Hepsia hosting Control Panel to achieve this. A catch-all button is available to the right of each and every email address that you have set up under any domain name hosted in the account. You can choose one single email address per domain by clicking the corresponding button. This will activate the feature straight away, so all emails sent to miswritten email addresses will be delivered there. Clicking on the button for a second time will disable the catch-all feature. If you have active email forwarding, our system will show a warning note and you won’t be able to enable the catch-all feature unless you remove the forwarding or you can simply pick a different mailbox to be the catch-all one.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Hosting
The custom-built Hepsia Control Panel that comes with each and every
semi-dedicated server plan that we are offering will allow you to set up a catch-all mailbox without any efforts even if you don’t have much email/web hosting experience. All you have to do to achieve that is click on the catch-all icon, which will be on the right side of each email address that you have created using your domain names in the Email Manager section of the Control Panel. As you can have only one mailbox with this feature per domain, our system will warn you if you have already set up a different catch-all mailbox or if the one that you wish to use has email forwarding enabled. If you decide that you don’t need the feature anymore, you can deactivate it by clicking again on the very same icon. The Email Manager will also allow you to view your catch-all mailboxes at a glance.
